For over 20 years, we’ve walked alongside individuals, whānau, communities, and systems navigating the impacts of suicide.
We were known as Clinical Advisory Services Aotearoa (CASA). Today, we are Te Aho — the weave that connects people and knowledge, grounded in whakapapa and guided by purpose.
We bring together the strength of:
to guide the journey towards an Aotearoa without suicide.
Although we don't work directly with individuals and whānau, Te Aho supports and equips hapori (communities) and local organisations with the knowledge and skills to support people and families in their own backyard.
Te Aho supports organisations and frontline kaimahi to respond with manaaki and confidence when whānau are navigating distress or suicide loss.
We support organisations to grow strong, connected workplaces where wellbeing is prioritised and suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility. From shaping whole-of-organisation strategies to responding safely after a suicide, we build confidence, compassion, and capability across your team.
We work with marae, hapū, and grassroots organisations to co-design community-led responses that reflect cultural values and real-world experience.
We provide system-level advice and practical tools that strengthen the knowledge, capability and confidence of people providing tautoko (support) and care to others.
We offer training in:
Recognising signs of distress and supporting wellbeing
Understanding and responding to self-harm & suicide
Suicide bereavement support
Critically conscious supervision
Tailored modules designed for your kaupapa and setting
As a national, trusted partner, we deliver clinically and culturally grounded suicide prevention, postvention, and wellbeing initiatives with measurable impact. Our expertise strengthens services and systems to meet the needs of Aotearoa now and into the future.
