Assistant Clinical Manager, Te Oranga Tonutanga Towards Wellbeing
Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington
Ko Rachel Moriarty tōku ingoa. No Ingarani, no Aerani oku tupuna. Kei Te Whanagnui-a-Tara ahau e noho ana.
I’m a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in mental health across primary, secondary, and private practice settings. For the past 20 years, I’ve specialised in suicide prevention and postvention, primarily supporting tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau connected to Oranga Tamariki.
I’m passionate about supporting and empowering kaimahi in their roles - helping them recognise and strengthen their own skills, experiences, and values to ensure the best and safest outcomes for the whaiora they work with.
My approach combines deep listening, weaving together diverse sources of knowledge, and co-developing new ways to grow our offerings and keep our mahi current and responsive.
I live with my husband in a bush-clad suburb of Te Whanganui-a-Tara and have three young adult sons. Outside of work, I love spending time by the sea or with friends and whānau - ideally in the sun.
