I am a registered Social Worker. I have worked extensively in the social sector including statutory child protection, and youth justice services.
My foci and commitment are to community wellbeing, fostering collaborative solutions, and social impact.
As a board member of Te Aho, I am passionate about quality service delivery, championing our staff and supporting them with their engagements with whanau, developing and delivering initiatives that promote mental health awareness, early intervention, and support for those at risk. I have a deep commitment to reducing harm and promoting resilient, connected communities.
As a social work professional, working in Aotearoa, the confidence and safety of the public continues to be an important focus. I served as the Social Work Registration Board Chairperson from 2019-2024. I am a life-member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZASW).
